Hume AI was my first time working on an AI product, and I learned a whole lot. My project included documenting and auditing content across the Hume product. I provided suggestions for how to add clarity, brevity, and personality when appropriate.
An interesting messaging issue across AI right now is identifying the best balance between technically accurate language with language that is more broadly accessible. In short, the answer is “It depends on the content surface,” so a lot of my time was spent collaborating with members of the team, figuring out exactly when to focus on understandability and when to focus on accuracy.
At the end of my project, I also created the beginnings of a content style guide to help inform future copywriting, including specific ideas for content channels such as UI copy, product emails, or blog posts.
