Red Hook StrengthWorks (Website Redesign)

image

Back in 2021, I attended Red Hook StrengthWorks, a local queer weightlifting gym. While I loved the experience, the website was pretty confusing. I knew I had a lot to contribute so I volunteered to revamp their website. Some of the changes I made include:

  • Cut down the original 10-page menu to a condensed 4 visible pages, simplifying navigation for users.
  • Removed redundant or outdated content, resulting in a more engaging interface.
  • Replaced the ambiguous "Learn more" button with two specific location buttons, ensuring visitors could easily access relevant information.
  • Embedded an interactive calendar widget, allowing users to view class schedules and make purchases seamlessly.

This strategic overhaul has transformed the website into an efficient and accessible platform, enhancing the overall user experience for both new and returning customers.
